Sikorsky's planned S-61D and Countdown to Futurama

To add some confusion to those who think they know the S-61 series well, or H-3 for that matter, presenting a proposed "S-61D".

NOT to be confused with the export S-61D-1/2/3/4s for the Brazilian and Argentine navies, or the SH-3D (S-61B) (HSS-2A) / SH-3D (S-61B) / SH-3D-TS Anti-submarine warfare helicopters, or the VH-3D VIP variant.

Nooooo, in fact it's an unbuilt project for a USMC utility transport with deep square-section fuselage, rear loading doors, and high-set tailboom. I think this is an early proposal for the HH-3E Jolly Green Giant (S-61R) sometime before 1963.

Still trying to figure out the German cross... possible plans for export?
